Free Speech: Restrictions at 2004 Republican National Convention upheld

A federal judge ruled October 4th for New York City in a suit by two anti-abortion protesters arrested in the name of “public safety” for refusing to leave a sidewalk during the 2004 RNC. Critics say the ruling fails to address civil liberties issues raised by hundreds of pending lawsuits over the arrests.
