The federal government filed suit against NY State and the NY Board of Elections on Tuesday, alleging non-compliance with the 2009 Military and Overseas Voters Empowerment Act (aka MOVE). Multiple counties in the state missed deadlines intended to ensure that overseas military personnel receive their absentee ballots in time to return them for the November election.
